Although Robyn Jackson's work is largely figurative, her love of the New England landscape is also starting to arrest attention. She is able to replicate what she sees, capturing the atmosphere that exists between the subject and her canvas, suggesting her own emotive response to it all.

My Inspiration Galleries

The origin of Robyn's artwork's are based on the world around her. Robyn's family, the people around her and the landscape she lives in all combine to inspire her.

About Me

Some people are born knowing who they are whilst others spend their entire life trying to find out. Robyn Jackson has always known she was destined to become an artist. Robyn has had the desire to draw ever since she was six years old. The desire to draw is as intense today as it was all those years ago. From drawing in the dust with a stick whilst waiting for the school bus to the life drawing classes she still organises to this day.

Born Moree, NSW. Her childhood and adolescence years were spent living and working on the land. She now lives on a small cattle farm between Armidale and Uralla NSW. It wasn’t until her children had left home that she then studied for a Diploma Of Fine Art at the Armidale and Tamworth New England Institute of TAFE majoring in painting.

Jackson’s paintings are a visual documentation of life’s experiences and influences as she sees it. Sometimes the release of tension is quite evident in her works. This style allows the viewer to relate on multiple levels as they identify reality, decipher a mood and interpret the artist’s passion for her subject. Robyn’s artworks are a combination of mixed mediums on various substrates.
